ubin
woke up early just to go ubin today with don...turn out to be a rather fruitful trip.
met up around 11..then we heaed stright down to changi to have our lunch..had chay kuay teow which was nice...but too spicy..sianzz...plus another shared plate of carrot cake..so by 130 we were on our way to the jetty, and man has the place changed...the jetty is now some sort of tourist attraction area with shops and seats and even police and their scanners...
however just before we were went on the bumboat, we kana cut queue by one couple and had to wait for the next one...crap man...
once there, 1st thing was to rent a bike...and don being don suggested getting a gd one..which cost us $6...thought it was ex...but it proved to be quite worth it...so with everything, we chiong for the roads...
we went all the way to the left side of ubin(cant remember the name of the place)...and chiong all the dirt tracks which is why i said the $6 is well spent...we climb through a fence to get to a quarry and followed by biking though muddy tracks to another quarry ehich looks inviting enough to swim...and that was also where don got his shoes and berms muddy by slipping a stone..
afterthat we went back to the town area and bought drinks and chiong down the other roads and they just get harder and harder....almost every 50m there's like a upslope....hell for my thighs...but it also provided some thrill in biking down bumpy dirt tracks....so we hit nordin beach followed by mamman beach then we headed back as we needed to get back by 6...
had power dinner at changi afterthat....chicken chop plus one plate of cockles...slurrrppp
